Rogue's Gallery

Postby Raven on Mon Aug 11, 2008 10:35 pm

I am thinking of including a rogue's gallery on one page of the zine, for those who aren't artistic or good at writing it would be a nice way for them to get involved. Those who submitted photos of themselves would earn a place in the rogue's gallery and receive a badge saying 'I was seen in Ethereal Tales'.
What do you think....good idea or not?
Are you a walking work of art? Would you want to be 'seen in Ethereal Tales'?
Let me know your views... ;)

I've noticed that a few 'Alternative' magazines (Devolution, Spiders Web etc) & various Gothic websites have started to do similar features so definitely worth doing (in my humble opinion...)
Good luck with the site.

I think the best way to go with this is to ask readers to send in pics of them with their copy of Ethereal Tales, should be fun to see our readers enjoying (I hope... ) our work... :)
Here to watch over you...

Actually not a bad idea, you could tie it in with printing the pictures that were taken in certain locations: most gothic, most unusual etc

Cool stuff, you would be the first in the gallery (at this rate possibly the only one...and feel very special I am sure).
Mind you I just had a thought that perhaps at Oct WGW I could take a pic of anyone who buys a copy, and get their permission to put the pic in...so you wouldn't be too lonely in there...

I like the idea of 'walking works of art'. Some people really do have a real creative flare for aethetics.

Also, just a thought, it might be a good way for people who make their own clothes and accessories to get noticed. That's a form of alternative creativity after all. :P

Sort of 'Miss So and So, pictured here reading her copy of Ethereal Tales and sporting a smart little number she made herself' that type of thing? If I ever have a photo sent in I may consider giving them such publicity. Mind you anyone wishing to promote their goods and website is more than welcome to request a link exchange...I am always happy indulge in a little cross promotion... :D
