Eternity Valette

Hey all.

I'm Eternity (but you can all read the topic heading, so sorry for insulting your intelligence). If you saw an old school copy of issue one my surname's down as Valance (because even legends as big as Teresa make typos :P ) but I am in fact not a frilly bed sheet. I am a student and therefore in the eyes of many a total waste of space. I think this is unfair. I think I'm quite a good use for space, or at least a better use for space than certain other things. Like Milton Keynes for example.

Anyway, I've written one short story type thing that appeared in issue one and I have another one that'll be in issue three. I've written more than just two, and my short stories to tend to be more successful that anything else because I can't draw, my poetry is about Vogon standard and I don't really have a long enough attention span for anything longer. I've tried, but there average lifespan is maybe two months before they curl up and die and clutter my hard drive. I'm hoping that eventaully I will grow out of this as it would be nice to tap out a nice little novella, or even a Lovecraft-esque fantasy epic some day.

A lot of the stuff I write is fantasy/horror based, and a lot of it also isn't. I kind of vere between the two extremes of witches, ghosts and vampires and gritty urban realism, with our without a social commentary depending on how deep I'm feeling. I'm gonna stop now because I really don't like talking about myself.

Have a nice day peeps! I would like to point out that was spoken without even a hint of irony.

x

Hi Eternity.

I just wanted you to know that I loved your story in Issue 3. Though it would be great to live in a world where a young person's thoughts wouldn't turn toward suicide, I thought it was a beautiful way to show that if you just hang in through the hard times, things are going to be ok. And possibly not just OK, but great. Even though it's dark material, I think it would be a great story for any teenager (whether they are having thoughts of homosexuality or not) to read. Good work.

Hi KJ,

Sorry this is a bit late, but thank you so much for your post. That story was very personal and so extremely hard to write. I'm glad that you found it so moving. Thanks again for your kind words.

xx
