And the Christmas Competition winner is.....

Lily with her tale 'Tearing The Wings'!
Congratulations Lily, yours was a wonderful tale and having had the privilege of reading the whole story I can truthfully say that it reduced me to tears by the end of it. I am sure all the judges will look forward to reading it when they get their copies of the Christmas special next Crimbo! I will be in touch regarding your prize ;)

I have to say that Lily's story was my favourite too...with 'Christmas Traditions' and 'Finding Home' being two other faves (they made me chuckle...and I enjoy laughing).
Thanks to everyone for joining in the fun :)
I hope that some of the others to have read your tales will also pop in and tell you what they thought...if not then be assured that I enjoyed all of your tales!

I won't put the rest of the voting online as I don't think we need to know anything other than the winner...but if any of you writers should have a burning desire to know your placing then drop me a line and I will let you know.

lol Okay, okay ;)

Tearing the Wings was a story I had written several years ago and I had no idea what to do with it. It just didn't seem to fit with anything. So I left it collecting cyber dust on my computer and kinda forgot about it for awhile.

When I learned of this Christmas competition, I was instantly reminded of the story and thought this would be a fun thing to do. It's been interesting to me to see such a variety of story excperts posted for the competition, ones that I personally enjoyed. It's really nice to see we have quite the variety of contributors here. And then... I was just too curious and had to know the results, not only for my story but for everyone. (I'll stop bugging you now, Teresa).

I am truly honoured by this and thank each and every person involved with this competition. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!

Psst... was that okay?

Thank you Jen!

You know, I don't know why, but before, I was under the impression the judges got to read the whole story. I find it very interesting it's judge based on only partial content.

And now I'm curious. Exactly how much did you read?
